Tualatin Valley Gleaners is a supplemental food program serving the greater Washington County Area. We are open on Saturdays at the Crossroads Church (9100 SW Willshire st. Portland, OR ) and would like to help those families and individuals in need of food. Every week we strive to provide fresh produce, breads, and dairy items, as well as the dry and canned staples to help food dollars stretch. We are a member-based program where families/individuals volunteer every month as well as pay $15.00 per month for approximately 75 - 100lbs of food each week. Yes, that is every week! There are a limited number of scholarships available, and we never turn away people for a lack of payment. We will work with each individual client, trying to meet his or her personal financial needs. We ask that each family bring their own bags for food, and a small-insulated cooler bag, or cooler for the perishables.

The Tualatin Valley Gleaners operates a special program called FARM2FOREST, where TVG educates and encourages families to of self sufficiency through nature. Local author Donna Johnson in collaboration with the TVG, wrote a foraging guide and cookbook, to promote and change lives of those living in the Northwest American area. You can find a copy of this book, or e-book on sale through Amazon, and Donna Johnson has pledged some of the proceeds to help the TVG, in their fight to end hunger.
